Grey suiting, cut as a real blazer — notch lapels, two buttons, flap pockets — with small embroidered animals scattered across it like pins someone kept adding. A lion near the lapel, a penguin under the pocket, a zebra on the sleeve. Nothing is arranged, which is what makes it read as collected rather than printed.
A hood is built in at the collar, so the jacket arrives already half-undone — tailoring with the formality taken out. That's the whole idea. Grey suiting is the most grown-up fabric there is; these are the least grown-up drawings there are. Neither one wins.
Wear it over the matching skirt for the full suit, or over straight-leg jeans and a white tee when you want one strange, serious jacket. For openings, first days, and any room where you'd like to be taken seriously and also remembered.
